starting to get on my goat TBH...:mad:

Have been working my fingers to the bone and worked last weekend and will be in the office this next one coming but my 2 week holiday is looming and I really would love some calmer weather...but these summer winds seem blooming constant!

anyone hazard a guess an tell me if August is going to be more of the same? :)

I hope its gonna be worse...................................................................................................................................................................................Because I will be stuck at work all through August!!!
 
We are same position as you; holidays on boat coming up. All the forecasts I've looked at so far are saying no change in July, but that pressure looks set to build into August. Trouble is, do you believe it....... Back in June, July was being heralded as going to be a scorching month.

How come every Wednesday someone issues a post on how bad the weather is for the weekend ?
Are you in the workenham club and you all decide to put everyone off going to their boats so the motorways are empty ;)

My mate just says he overheard in a pub that the M3 is going to be targeted on 15th July by traffic cops, in particular they are after 4x4 cruising in the outside lane and centre lane hoggers.
Expect long tail backs as none tax disc holders are pulled over, best avoid the A34, M3,M27 ;);)
 
West Country has been windy for ages now, doesn't seem to have stopped blowing since Easter!

Only got out 2 days in 17 last time we were down the boat, the rest was over 20mph winds all day long.
What's happened to the balmy sunny evenings?

Plan on being away again for the next 15 days and guess what, more high winds forecast!!!

Get a yacht, it's bound to be calm then :)

barring anything unforseen, i shall be towing down to mercury direct from work on 23rd (sat), arriving about 13/14.00ish, therefore rain, hail, snow, F8 WILL start at 15.00 and last for 8days straight ........YOU HAVE BEENED WARNED !!!!!
 
Yep,

Starting the day before actually, we're planning a Solent to Alderney trip in company leaving 22nd and returning on the Sunday. Tempests and tidal waves are inevitable :(

Not here it's not. Perfect boating weather for past three weeks. Sun, sun, and more sun with light winds. So little wind, raggies are complaining. :)

From tomorrow evening until the following Sunday we'll be on Windermere trying to enjoy the boat - forecast looks ****!

Infact its no different to the week we had in June where it rained every day :(

Its the air show on Saturday 24th so fingers crossed for scorching weather for one day at least
