Someone pinched one of my fenders, but adjusted the height of the remaining ones (as by my own addmission they were a little low).
A caring thief maybe?
Ive had enough of Haslar Marina, anyone ever kept a boat at Royal Clarence Marina or Premier Gosport?

Is it possible that one fell off?
One of mine fell off in last years storms and was retrieved by the marina staff.

I too would think falling off just as likely as thieving. I was talking to someone the other day who mentioned "harvesting" fenders from the leeward side of the river after windy weather...

Sounds to me like one has fallen off and the others have been adjust to protect your boat. It might even be the marina staff that did it??

I'd take a walk to the office and see what's happened, you might even get a coffee out of it too. :)

That was my first thought too.

I agree - sounds like the marina staff (or a kind passer by) has done you a favour. Agree that it can be quite disconcerting though as a similar thing happened to me and it took me a while to figure out that no on had been 'tampering' with my boat :)

There's a retired chap in Portchester who runs a little business doing that - he finds his fenders on the seashore by the castle and Port Solent....
Well he had better go down there now, when out at the weekend I noticed on of the Royal Navy's fenders down there, you know the ones with tyres stuck on a large fender that they use on the dockside.
