Why can\'t somebody at YBW Towers.......

....sort this feckin forum out. It is the most inconsistant, slow and frustrating forum I have EVER come across. One day it flies, next day (like today) it has taken me 30+ minutes to log in, and is running at a virtual standstill.

Surely it's not beyond the bounds of impossibility to give forum users a consistant service??

The men in white coats are on the way up our drive - AAAARRRRGGGGH!!

Instead of wasting these valuable minutes staring at the monitor waiting for YBW to kick in, perhaps you could use the time researching how to get a life. It is only a forum afterall!

Had a bad day have we? Having just recovered from a major op, I'm very pleased to say I do indeed still have a life!!

We are doing something about it, we are aware its Friday and yes it seems to be worse on a Friday but there have been major steps forward and there is more to come.

And I am glad you have recovered from your op.

Thanks Richard, pleased to hear that improvements are on the way. During my recovery period, it's the various forums that have kept me going!! . Driving again now, and pilots license back in two weeks - outside of illness, I do have a very active life!!

Unfortunately,due to the recession,unable to borrow vast amount in order to buy a nice shiney new one(pref MED. based ).
Only small cash sum available,so if anybody has a scruffy one that they are not using at the moment that mebbe needs a bit of work but is cheap please contact me at

I also find the same as you. Its a real shame because I think the YBW forum is a good source of entertainment and information, and I really enjoy browsing the forums, and getting to see all the various character's points of view on here.

Its a real shame something does not seem to improve the situation, despite many complaints made to IPC media. I find that other forum sites dont suffer with the same inconsistency that this forum does. Surely somebody needs to solve the problem? Surely with the number of users on here, IPC media need to invest some time and money into sorting it out, or think about getting it hosted elsewhere?

At least try and explain to us (the users) WHY the problems keep occuring. Even when sitting on a train these days the train operators have finally got their heads around the fact that if you keep people informed they are much less likely to get angry and annoyed with the situation.

I for one will keep visiting this forum, in the hope that the slow service will improve.

Entaining possibly but not sure about information.

Could someone confirm that St Peter Port is still in Guernsey were we saw it last August and not Jersey as the YBW home page would have us believe /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have every sympathy with Dan and his colleagues, who are probably trying to push water uphill, but the forum performance is still very unpredictable - one minute it's fine, the next it's back to waiting hours for a page to load - and it's driving me bonkers.

Apparently the problem is known and there's someone working on it full time, but it doesn't seem any better to me at the moment. Like lots of other people, I still dip in now and then but I'm less and less inclined to do so, the longer this goes on /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

The annoying thing, is that some one like Neddie, or even myself, could take a team from here in there, and sort it in a a few days. We know what the problem is....... we think
