Why can't posters be more serious?

Why does every thread descend into quips, sarky comments and exaggerations? Some of us take what our fellow mobo owners have to say very seriously

Personally, I think there is a good balance of info and fun on here. I really dont like threads that get abusive, there are other places to do that like the Lounge.

I tried to inject seamen into here for years, but failed miserably in the end. No longer any adventures, no visiting foreign shores.

About as far as it gets is Southampton to the Folly. We used to do that from Plymouth after the round trip from Brittany.

There is no story time anymore, when there is, it's just a load of pictures, from them that can be half bothered.

Does anyone carry fender board anymore and long ropes for when in a raft, or tying to harbour walls.

Nice program about Strangford Lough today, just who has been there. IOM, is a good fuel stop, if nothing else. The Scillies are special and Lands End can be fun whilst Ireland is a super and easy place to sail round.

We were on Strangford lough in September, but we went by M/H on the ferry! Always wanted to go there sailing, but it's a 12hour trip for us altho it doesn't take much fuel, if any.
