Why can't I register here? Should I bother?

Have tried many times to register here without success. I am always shown as a new user. How does it work? Do I have to make loads of posts or something? What is the etiquette / advantage of being registered? Wouldn't want to upset anyone by not "wearing the right tie" so to speak.

Well you seem to have 11 posts to your name !

You have, I think, run foul of the block put on new members' first few posts until they have been moderated.

If you post in the evening you have to wait until admin are back in the office next day

If you post on Frday evening, or during the weekend, you have to wait until Monday ( Or Tuesday when Monday is a B. Hol)

You now appear to have had the required, but unspecified, numbers of posts approved and are free of these constraints.

Its PITA for new members but there does not seem to be any way out of the situation.

Anchors - Not a problem for me. East Coast mud is receptive to anything heavy.

Global Warming - It exists but wind farms won't solve it.

Colregs - as essential as the highway code. Especially when disputing plonkers who don't know how to behave on the water.

Lifejackets - no use unless worn.

Mobo or raggie - raggie every time although I did once have an inland waterways mobo when the kids were young and enjoyed locks. Never went beyond 4knots!
