Why aren't many of the topics here on the Yachting forum; they seem to have nothing to do with practical boat ownership ? Some motor boat owners are also practical boat owners. We don't all "pay a man" to do things for us.

It's the way the PBO Magazine has evolved as well I suppose ( I don't buy it anymore).

Virtually all the posts on the PBO forum relate to practical matters of boat ownership or maintenance. What's your point?

There are lots of saily boat threads because lots of saily boat people ask questions.
If Mobo owners don't ask questions how do you suppose threads would be generated.
Maybe Mobo owners should get their man to post queries.

Because it is "Britain's Best-Selling Yachting Magazine"

For a while it used to say "for sail and power" on the cover, but it was never really true and I think they've given up saying it again.

You do get the odd motorboat article in the magazine, but not many.

I understand that if you own a MoBo then the yard does the work, so no real need to ask questions.

Could it be that there are rather more raggies than stinkpots ?

In a trawl through the first 10 threads that popped up on my screen (excluding stickies), nine had a clear practical element. The only exception was this one.
So the point is...?

P.S. On the other hand the Mobo forum does have this rather salutary post: http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?365481-Dangerous-Attempt-to-board-Yacht-during-storm
