jez that is going to be my next model boat i cant thank you enough for showing ,we went libs looking for a boat that has a large entrance at the stern ,ie like the swift 39 but it is not big enough thanks again .roy

Pictures were taken last summer, the last time it was up with Bck, just after Henry had released the new burgee/flag whatever it's called. I can confirm its still in place and not faded in the slightest. Very good quality.
Just like the boat, despite what DOAN would have you believe ��

I dont know if he was warned but he feels it was unjustified on a forum. However it seems it was damaging YBW's brand name:

He emailed me the following reason given:

Well time inc are responsible for what is published on the forum - in the same way they are responsible for what free lance writers publish in their magazines.

I would have thought a warning and some selective moderation was called for, but perhaps these were sent and ignored
 
I imagine the tide turned when it changed from his personal boat problems to a crusade against Bavaria, not the most elegant of moves, but mitigated by his loss I suppose. Well whatever his outcome, I feel for the poor chap. Can you imagine the horror if it was your brand spanking new pride and joy, regardless of who made it. I'd be inconsolable too.
 
Yeah but we never got the full story. Something unexplained happened to that boat. Even Friday afternoon jobs don't crack like that. My suspicion was that the dealer knew more than he thought hence his eagerness to blame the manufacturer. But for all we knew, DOAN could have wrecked it. As for the alleged botched repairs, I'm can't recall a single one being proven as non original.
 
Absolutely, hence my comment re: when he turned against Bavaria, not the most elegant of moves. Maybe once the heat of the moment has died down and the emotions aren't going mental.
 
I think there was reason to question whether his complaints were even genuine. He made a big deal out of a panel supposedly being removed in the main cabin, but it turned out that the "join" in his picture was in fact a guard wire for a blind, as astutely spotted by Jimmy the Builder. He must have actually looked at the panel on his own boat, so why misrepresent it? He then admitted his intention was to " throw enough sh1t (at Bavaria) that some of it sticks", or words to that effect.

I think the mods were right to remove the threads, and ban him.
