First Xmas not on call for ages. Hooray. In good old days we used to go in on Xms day and carve Turkey for pts. Not allowed for ages now.

What is the point of me sitting here ready to send our boys and girls in blue forth to uphold justice and the rule of law when they're all going to be tied up for the shift interviewing the crop of violent nutters brought in last night?

Happy Birthday mate - I've never worked on Xmas day ever. Isnt that sad. Having read the thread above made me realise how many people actually do - and without them what services would stop. Police, NHS and Ambulance are obvious but all the others made me think.

Thanks to those of you that are working this year - so that I can enjoy mine with the family.
