I reckon that TCM has cost me around 6 months salary so far, and I've never met him !!!

AND, I don't own a boat yet....

Me missus is gonna murder 'im if she ever finds out, cos we were only looking for a 2.20 m rib !!!

How come he has cost you that? You haven't bort a boat yet have you? Also I have a 2.8m RIB for sale, complete with 5hp mercury outboard. Mint. So there's still time to save the day. To add a bit of frisson to proceedings, I hereby offer it to you for a mere 3 months salary, I say that without any info as to what £££ that will be, but I'm happy to gamble and you will come out 3 months ahead and SWMBO = happy so a good deal eh? If you agree to this it will prove your insanity

Twas written very tongue in cheek .

I was attempting to elicit views on how this BB had influenced people's decisions.

I agree with you , despite having spent ' a lot'. The advice must already have saved me thousands plus a possible divorce ..so all in all ,, great value ''for nothing !!

Re-certification of the insane

Need to get the calculator out for this one............ohh. Three and sixpence fartning for a manky rib. No I'll stick with looking for a cheaper version.

Well the FIRST advice I got was to secure a BERTH before a boat. Given where I live, that was preyty sound advice BUT there are also :-

1) Clothes
2) hand helpGPS chartplotter
3) G-charts for above in ANTICIPATED cruising area
3) Visits to Mallorca, Corsica, Italy, Monaco and South Coat to view boats ( SWMBO says she like s looking for boats)
4) RYA renewal
5) Clothes and outfits for SWMBO to support 3) above

the sound of you lot laughing prevents me from writing more...


Actually probably saved me a FORTUNE

I'm definitely not insane. But then I'm not really from around here either.

As prince of the Mugwhar tribe on planet Tharg, I have few problems with diesel blockages or marina prices.

quite alot
as I agreed to a holiday on a stinky
altho missus now professes that she loves rags and no longer looks enviously as sunseekers pass by. so that is good

also lots of invauluable tips about navigating south coast, so i donot have to buy charts my litttle chef road map will do.

it has also stopped me buying a benjenbav
so that is good
ps don't tell the whiteboat supremicists on scuttlebunch that, it'll start another bloody war

Yes sorry about your experience on the fairline 37, I'm lucky that SWMBO is more tolerant of such things.. do raggies really use chart thingies . I thought you all had your own version of Charlie who did everything automatically.
