I've had too many other sewing projects on recently, but I did give some spinnaker fabric to a neighbouring boat recently which they used to make a windscoop.
They made one of those four sided ones that will funnel the wind from any direction..
It looked complex at first but then we just realised you just need to cut a tall triangle, shaped as if it were a single scoop (sized for the whole hatch), then another triangle cut the same and laid underneath.. then a single row of stitching straight up the middle..
That should produce the scoops facing in all four directions.. A loose/adjustable band perhaps six inches wide between the bottom four points should then allow it to be fitted to the hatch opening and will help channel the wind at the downwind side.
We had one on a flottila boat in Greece and i was surprised how well it worked. It was a simple three sided design that followed wind shifts well even 180°.
