Who\'s coming then??

Mirebella V, the largest single masted yacht ever built, will be launched on Wednesday 26th November at 1100hrs GMT (or european euro federal republic time thingamy) at VT's Woolston Yard on the Itchen.

We will be standing on the Northern Point of the entrance to Ocean Village Marina to watch this... Anybody fancy a beer afters?

Unfortunately/fortunately, Concorde is landing at Bristol and I intend to watch this time.

The Yacht Club is as good a place as any. Ocean Village is just down the road from Shamrock Quay..

Errrrr, thanks, but some of us still have to live here!

The new buildings are "in theory" just a replacement for the original failed project. I don't like them, one, in fact towers over our appartment, however the planning gang at the council didn't do alot to stop it.

The area was going to be developed anyway as it was an empty large plot in a central area of a city. So we are getting a few restaurants and wine bar thingies, no night clubs like before, and a few hundred apartments with prices from £190k to £1.25m.

No, its not great, but it could have been alot worse.

Sorry, not a slurr on the housing (grovel). Just a surprise in August to find that all the frivolities had gone! Good to hear some of it will return though. (I should be so lucky to live so close).
