I only remember because I was admiring the boat
Proving to be a great boat. Will be better in a couple of months - new carpet going down. Canopies and cockpit seating all booked in for the next few weeks

Sink every raggie u might get them
1. The boat was hit hard. Hard enough to split the GRP and push the fender strip into the wide crack from the impact
2. The damage suggest it was hit by something pointy - bow first. The depth of fissure and fender strip damage is not consistent with a boat bumping with their stern.
3. It was hit by a boat with a snub nosed, vertical bow - consistent with those on a sailing boat. If it had been a motor boat with a raked bow, the pulpit would have also done considerable damage to my boat, particularly given the extent of the damage to the stern quarter.
Anyway - I've moved on. Just gonna get the boat lifted and repaired and get on with my boating.
The behaviour of whoever hit your boat is pathetic, rude and illegal, the behaviour of Cowes Yacht Haven just the first one. I'm a raggy but I'd definitely second the suggestion to start a thread on Scuttlebutt as somebody could well have seen the incident. Also, if it turns out to be a Sunsail boat (pure speculation) then Sunsail has to be fair a pretty good reputation wrt sorting out the resulting repair bills
What a measured and constructive reply...I'm sure you're very proud of your contribution.
Here's a thought...
Although Cowes Yacht Haven still haven't found time to check their CCTV, they have committed to do so by cob today.
Even if they spot something and I get a boat name... how do I then go about getting in touch with the owner?
Well... nothing on the CCTV.
Boat repair guy says boat definitely needs to be lifted out as the crack extends to the waterline.
Marina says they can't lift until 19th June.
It's been a **** few months - suppliers taking my deposits and not delivering, boat getting hit, now out of action for a month... beginning to regret buying a boat![]()
