who wants to make a sail cover

well I need a new mainsail cover (the boat is in Dublin) and i'm finding it really hard to find anyone who can be bothered to quote. I've now contacted 4 sailmakers, 2 well known Dublin companies, a local private guy, and one outside Dublin.

Responses have been poor. I find it hard to beleive in the leisure industry that sailing is, with the recession that these people can turn their noses up at any bussiness, but there you go.

I have looked at those. Test thier feedback and a lot say they don't like the cheap/light feel of the cover.

If you do not want anything fancy you can buy them off the shelf from mail order chandlers. Force 4 have a range of sizes - see p142 of their catalogue. Probably cheaper than a custom made as well.
