That sounds much better than

"Designed and built in Britain, it can reach speeds of over 87 knots".

"An even faster, petrol-powered version will be built for buyers in America. It will not be available in Europe where there are stricter controls on the use of petrol-powered vessels."

"..and you can take your friends with you at 100mph." Has a slightly ominous ring to it somehow.

Sunbathing at 100mph? One way of keeping your privacy, I guess.
I've seen the offshore powerboats do 100mph in Plymouth Sound, and it made me glad to be on the shore. I also saw one flip over going flat out, and at 100mph you are guarenteed to lose your sunbathers!

It looks exciting, could free up a lot of inheritance money...

Bcoz the pilots of said craft dont generally know the difference and the salesman dont want to confuse there prospective clients by filling their minds with technical stuff when they are consentrating on the prospects of filling their lives with the added female deck furnishings that the lifestile automatically brings "acording to the advertising brochoures", if indeed the salesman knows what KTS are.
