After a couple of splendid days sailing in the Oosterschelde (and a lively night watching the footie in a bar) we set off yesterday morning to brave the North Sea.
It was a day of No's. No clouds, no waves (at all) and no wind. So we motored all the way - 20 hours from the Roompotsluis to Bradwell. The first bit was so quick that we got to Long Sand Head almost 3 hours before LW and then had to shove the tide down the East Swin. It was so hot that we (son and I) were just wearing shorts, no T-shirt or shoes until into the evening. After an extended trip you just want to get the boat back with no dramas - job done
