What is it a single pole, double throw, with centre OFF

What current rating? Don't forget you will need a switch suitable for 12 v DC,
assuming it is for 12 V

Three contacts would possibly imply SPDT - Single Pole Double Throw.

Looks like the CH on the side is Cole Hersee similar to this one...

Interesting - The one in my link above is ON in one direction and Momentary ON in the other, a bit like my bilge pump switch.. And being 25A it would have been good enough for that purpose!

It could be a 5584 or 5586 toggle switch. The first is On-On, and the second it On-Off-On.

Thanks everyone for the help so far

The switch is for electric in-mast furling (please don't start thread-drift!)

So centre is off, up is on in one direction and down is on in reverse direction

Boat is 24v system

If you need one desperately you could buy a windlass remote control switch from your local chandlery. If you take it apart these switches will probably be the same inside.
