Who made the internal helm seats for Sealine?

I had a T47 at one time and I must say the helm seats were lovely - made for more of a middle age spread than many! I am not sure who made them but Sealine had an in house company called FibreTrim that made the saloon seating etc. They may well have made the helm seats also. I don't think they trade now. Phil Hutchins of Hutchins Marine may know more.

Richard.

Fairline buy in Recaro and recover so it is possible Sealine did the same. A seat is a seat and probably relatively costly to tool up for. The Recaro branding on the seat is obvious so maybe a poke under the trim might show who made the frame?

Balls.

So who makes the current stuff for fairline etc? I know you said recaro but their online catalogue looks like the stuff 17 year olds strap into their Vauxhall Corsa

Recaro have some form of tie up with Sun Marine in Holland to make marine seats. Maybe Recaro use their existing tooling and run off batches in SS every now and then, which Sun Marine use to make seats for boats. I'd imagine they're quite pricey. I think Besenzoni/Opacmare also make marine seats, but they'll also be pricey.

Maybe look at the Outhill range, now made by Cheetah Marine, or the company Hurricane bought his seats from?

Jez, there is a small company called Quayside Leisure in Cannock who came out of the Sealine debacle. They are recovering my Azi saloon. There are 2 neighbouring Sealines that have already used Quayside, and the finish is fantastic.

Yup, fibre trim for Sealiune, now bust

The fairline recaros come from capital seating http://www.capitalseating.co.uk/productlist.asp?type=s&view=apps&appid=69&appgrpid=9. They will supply them in any fabric/leather you spec, with/without arm rests and with cushion headrests, metal loop headrests or no headrests. The exterior ones (like on my flybridge) are the manually adjustable Harrier model and the interior helm seats I specced (non standard) are elec adjustable Phoenix model

Capital are excellent for spare parts. Check this out http://www.capitalseating.co.uk/productlist.asp?type=s&view=range&rid=61&mid=2

Outhill (mentioned above) do nice seats too. My brother just received three helm seats from them for his refit, in his choice of sunbrella, and they're great value

Thing is this isn't a retrim job, well it will be, but I wont have the seats either. Its a ground up project to replace what is already there

I seem to remember your Capital ones were about £1800 each?

I don't remember Jez. The website has no pricing info unfortunately. I'd guess you're about right there for the Phoenix electric seat in leather

worth giving Loui at quayside and leisure a ring Jez, He was one of the managers from Fibretrim before Sealine swallowed them and moved them into Kidderminster.

May be a bit earlier than the ultra luxury stuff you are showing but have an idea he will know who is responsible.

Has done a few trimming jobs for me and he is not only really good but also really competitive, service wise he is second to non as well.

Yep, it is Loui doing the job on Rafiki.

Loui/now called quayside leisure have done reupholstery jobs on Nick H's boat and my first squadron 58. To balance the feedback, he did a good job on nick's boat but a pretty poor job imho on my Squadron 58 and I wouldn't use him again. Just for starters, on my boat he didn't use the sunbrella fabric which I had clearly specified in written email (including the product code); he used something sort of similar and admitted it with a shrug of the shoulders and a "Well we couldn't get the exact stuff you asked for". I only discovered this when I picked the cushions up at his workshop. (And that wasn't the only bit that was rubbish imho!). MJ (Martin Duce) in Essex are much better imho

Interesting. We have chosen the materials for the seating and carpeting from his suppliers. The work he has done on other boats has been good, but I will take your experience on board, and keep a very close eye on the output.
