Re: How to solve it

The fish were being kept by the German when this question came up last year when BrendanS solved it. Finding that post takes about 20 seconds with a search for say "german" and "chesterfield".

Now, I deduced that the German will be very boring, and have a rubbishy Euro-economy, so he is unlikley to have sold the house to make a few quid and move away from this area that sounds a bit like an ex-council estate with mad-coloured houses and loads of blimmin foreigners.

And, the German will probly be a whole load better than Haydn at making sure the fish haven't been eaten by herons. And of course the fish can't walk off. So, the Germans will still be keeping the fish. Simple, really.

But that don't hold true anymore. Was over in Wentworth, visiting a friend of mine who made loads of money selling his council house, the place was full of krauts, yanks and chinks. Try living around Bromley common and Biggin Hill!

Aah! I wasn't looking at the forum a year ago, so I didn't see the original post.

It was in my e-mail folder dated May 1998, so it's been around a while.
