Was hoping to be finished by about 10 this morning. Been working in warehouse since 8am (stock taking - what fun) and when I went into the office there was a message from 'Team C' at 9am saying they had attempted to deliver and we would need to rearrange. Got on phone to office who called driver who had not attempted (no surprise there) to deliver but thought (hoped) we wouldn't be in! He is supposed to be coming back by 1200.

What's the chance?

Got to get the turkey ready when I get home and am hoping that my 2 eldest sons (20 & 18) are going to take their old dad to the pub later.

Finished waterproofing a bathroom for a client at 1500 hrs, now have an hours work in the office after I drive the 37 km home.

Much better than last year, ended up around 2000 hrs then drive home and complete paper work. The Dove was not too happy.

I used to work in the last century, and usually on Christmas day and other holidays. There is a strange pleasure to be had in working when no-one else is, and usually people are very grateful.

That reminds me; we've got a man from the gas people in all day today. I'd better find something to give him when he goes.

ME! :(

At least until 3ish I think then the masters that be might let us go.

Sitting in a hot, stuffy, over-airconditioned office, bored.

Still, planning on a nice trip on 27th and 28th - might even make it to our new home on the Crouch! That's something to look forward too.

And I have to prep xmas dinner for 6. And we've got people over tonight also!

Merry Christmas to one and all.

I'm on a software reload which'll take until approx 16.00. Much discussion about where to send me next, and if they'll be open when I get there! Oh well, it saves from going down the pub, drinking beer, carousing and other fun stuff :(
