Who has been over to Holland recently

Brouwershaven is on our 'to do' list along with the rest of the Gravelingenmeer as we have never been in that area.
We will probably stop in Marina Port Zeeland as it's part of the 50% off mooring deal for Trans Europe marinas
Also fancy the odd night or two beside one or more of the islands, which I believe requires a weekly 'pass'.
Any info on depths and the Gravelingenmeer in general would be good.

Port Zealand has very good facilities, probably the most expensive berthing in Zealand though, but does give free access to adjacent Centre Parc facilities and vast North Sea beaches. Only place I have been which has finger pontoons on each side of berths unless you are enormous boat which is then box moorings. Depths are OK in marked channels but generally shelve rapidly outside.

There are only three main islands that have proper pontoons and 2m minimum- 2 on the Mosselbank opposite Bruinisse and one near the dam Ossehoek. There are some shallower places elsewhere that are on the 1.7m contour.

I don't think you need an up-to-date chart. The islands don't move and there are so many buoys that find the channel is not difficult. I've got a 2011 version of 1805 if you want it.

If you go to the town quay at Brouwershaven then stop at the HM's office by the flood gates on the way in and collect your electronic tags for loos, showers and leccy - it's a loooong walk to his office from the quay. Any unused money on the tags is refunded on your way out.

Thanks for the info and the offer of the chart. The logistics of getting the chart may be difficult as we head off next weekend.
One thing I have considered is the ANWB app which has most of the charts and bridge/lock information contained in it. It isn't free but seems reasonably priced at €9.99 for one months access to data. Anyone used this?

Yes it is great and saved me money this year. And if you have an AA card you will be an honourary member and get a free chart from the ANWB office which would cost e12 normally!

We're at Willemstad now, fabulous place. Met some nice brits here as well. we draw 2.2m and have had no issues so far at all. Didn't get to cats at browershaven as the yacht club was great. We went to Ooddorp,(lovely little town) Scharendijke and Bruinisse. We used the ANWB wateratlas which we bought in Browershaven Chandlers for 19 euros. Have got the 1805 series charts as well but the atlas is just fine. As said above the bouyage is excellent so charts have not been over used.
Off to Goes tomorrow which will really test our 2.2m draft.

That sounds optimistic.
We went there last year (when we had a draft of 1.85m) and had to push through a soft shallow bit in the canal.
We also forgot to look up while berthing in Goes and hadn't notices that we were dragging the rigging through trees
All worth it though, Goes was lovely.

This year, in North Holland, the shallowest has been Edam where we had millimetres to spare (draft 2.0m)

Well are right up as far as you can go in Goes. Saw 1.8 under the transducer so no problems. Looks lovely place, off to explore after a cuppa. Full of Brits, well 3 of us anyway. The first Marina was full but this town centre one is about half full.

Incidently we've had free wifi every place we've stop
ped so far except for Willemstad.
Food is excellent here but NOT cheap. Mooring however is 15 per night for our 10 meters.

I had to fork out e5.95 for 50 minutes in Ijmuiden a week or two ago. I was desperate to get an updated forecast before crossing so I suppose it was worthwhile in the end.
