Who can help Al?

I heard a test sail report from someone I trust .... and on "Sail-a-bility?" ... the answer was definitely not, unless you want just fair-weather no waves/chop.
Downwind it just wouldn't hold a straight course and the tiny wheel really wasn't much help ...

Al, post this in East Coast - bastonjock has one, and has used it in anger in some quite horrid stuff.

I love to see a saily boat going so fast, but it is a megga compromise. The rig is a big drag on a planing mobo. The hull is also a problem for a sailboat. Not much accomodation on them either as weight is a big no-no for a planing boat.

Caught this on my phone off Red Wharf bay, Anglesey. He slowed down to pass me as a courtesy. I had to shout & wave to get him back up to speed for the photo.
