Who can come up with a catchy name for our new teenage training J24

Hi Poignard

We haven't forgotten about the Capitaine down here with a bit of a change to the spelling

Just off the top of my head we have the following

Kermandie Marina
Kermandie Hotel
Kermandie River
Kermandie River Road
Kermandie Falls
and not to forget this beautiful wooden old racer that is owned by the Marina and Hotel owner and has done a few Sydney Hobart races
Maluka of Kermandie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRDcCK4pHcw

Hi Don

Thanks for your interesting post.

Regarding the spelling change from Kermadec, here is a link to an article in The Mercury, dated 29 July 1911 in which someone complains about the misspelling of Kermadec, which you might find interesting:

'Maluka' is a very attractive design of boat and she looks to be in immaculate condition despite her great age (apparently she was built in 1932!)

Regards P.

Down under, a Tornado turned up for the Nationals, called #anchors away (I will leave you to guess at the first letter) The commitee were not too impressed and insisted on the first letter being covered up. Bit pointless as the damage was done.

My suggestion is Houns First?
