Hi all

Here is a challenge for you

Who can give me a catchy name for our yacht clubs new teenage training J24

My 80 year old father suggested Raging Hormones with is probably correct but not really appropriate

Extra good if you can incorporate Huon into the name

Looking forward to hearing what you have

Regards Don

Hi all

A great response to this post from all and keep the names coming

Thanks for the suggestions so far and there are some potential winners in there

What we decided to do was to let the crew name the boat but i wanted to have a few suggestions up my sleeve just in case they couldn't come up with anything

Ideally if the name reflects what the boat is for when we do the weekly race report in the local paper we can catch peoples attention with the name and get a bit of interest happening in the community

Regards Don

Why not name it 'Kermadec' after Capitaine Jean-Michel Huon de Kermadec, after whom the River Huon is named?

Hi Poignard

We haven't forgotten about the Capitaine down here with a bit of a change to the spelling

Just off the top of my head we have the following

Kermandie Marina
Kermandie Hotel
Kermandie River
Kermandie River Road
Kermandie Falls
and not to forget this beautiful wooden old racer that is owned by the Marina and Hotel owner and has done a few Sydney Hobart races
