The reason I ask is that I thought I'd sell them the Tender. I'm going to sell it anyway, what does the Forum think a fair cheap price would be, I thought about £150?

It is the actual 1972 Tender that was specially made by Freemans to go with Ivory Gem to the Earls Court Boat Show, Glass of course. Quite dirty but in good nick.

I have just returned from having drinkies at the UTMYC with the Broker's Mum & Dad. The boat leaves Sonning tomorrow and is going to Bristol to live. I will have to get my lazy bum in order and stick it on Ebay.
I'm so lazy, I also have a large heavy duty boat trailer and even a Sea-Pathfinder Watch to photograph and get shot of.

The driver (owner) there would be Roger Free. I can tell from the photograph that it was taken on the Cleve-Benson stretch. Roger died and his wife Margaret married his best friend John Weeks. Margaret sadly passed on a while back but John is still going strong and lives in Henley.

I used to own the boat in the picture.... I sold it 2 years ago to a chap on the Broads. The boat came with a "history file" inside which was that photo, accompanied by a Freeman sales brochure which had the same picture on the cover, and a letter From Margaret Weeks nee Free, confirming that the picture was taken days after taking delivery of the boat from their good friend John Freeman. It was the second Freeman 30 built, John Freeman having the first and his brother Bert the third.
Margaret confirms that she took the picture and the letter also mentioned (as Byron confirmed) that it is indeed Roger at the helm.
She was renamed Silver Gem when they sold her to upgrade to a 32. I similarly upgraded to a 32 and after some archive trawling, managed to work out that the Freeman 32 I bought was originally owned by Andrew Corless' farther. (of Sheridan Marine - Freeman fame)

I am assuming this is the re-named Ivory Gem. If not I'm looking pretty foolish as I've sent the URL to several John & Margaret friends.

It's not the same boat. Makita Mia was featured in motor boats monthly when they did an article on F32 mark 2s. I had one at the time that's how I remember!
