Whitlock Steering - mechanic needed Orwell area

Anyone skilled in Whitlock steering systems locally? My 5R may need some tlc.
Any leads much appreciated.

You could try Peter Buchan 07563 966407. He’s a very competent, independent marine engineer and has worked on my boats. He’s often around SYH in his van. Don’t know if he’s familiar with your steering system but he has a broad engineering knowledge. He’s always very busy though. Fairly priced too.

They are very simple mechanical systems that don’t require specialist knowledge any half competent mechanical engineer or diy should be able to strip and refurbish one, spares if required are likely to be the hold up.
