Whitlock Autopilot

My Whitlock Autopilot, probably 25 yrs old, doesnt work. There is a "rudder position" dial which swings right over to its left on power up, so I know theres some power there, but Im unable to centre the needle by moving the wheel prior to engaging "drive".
I do have an instalation manual, but nothing to troubleshoot with. Any suggestions?! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I am also looking for a technical (internal wiringdiagram) manual for this autopilot. (I have a Whitlock Marionics Sentinel R autopilot).
I want to pay for a internalwiringdiagram, but until now no one replay on the question.

Whitlock is part of Lewmar, and they have some manuals on the above link. ( in German language, also !) They may have manuals for older systems available on request.

I asked lewmar five years ago, they had trown away everything because it was a very old unit.

Dear Stix,

I too have an old Whitlock Marionics autopilot. It came with a boat I bought. It looks like it should still be working, but all elements of the device are disconnected: all wires have been cut, and I am spending my days (and nights) puzzling what wire goes where. Do you have any information/ wiring diagram/ photograph? I am near-exhaustion and would be eternally grateful!

have you solved your problem? do you still have the autopilot?

I have a whitlock marionic sentinel autopilot 24 volts that worked beautfully until afew days ago when a electrical overload jammed the power box printed circuit.
I'm looking for someone that knows it and can fix it, or the circuit diagram ,or an other power box.
in the worst case I would like to know if someone knows about an other electronic gear easy to install that could fit with the driver(very similar to the mamba from lewmar but with independent power for the drive and the clutch)
as i Think that you have had the same problem maybe you can help me.

I guess that you have solved you problem since but if you still need the wiring I can send you pictures of my instalation
