Yeap, they went belly up last week, allegedly they have had problems for quite a while now. There was an article in last Sunday Times business supplement about another crowd (in the Republic) who are the Larson agents which have also gone bust.
Thankfully there are Elan agents in Ireland, but Rodman were only selling through Northern Ireland.
Sorry to sound ignorant, but good enough for them.
I put in an offer on a boat they had on brokerage, the seller accepted, Whiterock said that they'd send the papers down.... they never did. Rang/emailed them a few times and never sent down the paperwork.
All worked out for the best though, glad I didn't buy that particular boat and am happier with what I have now. How do you expect to succeed in business with laziness like that? (And to boot, one time I got through to an arrogant tosser who didn't feel the need to be polite because I wasn't buying a frickin' megayacht)
I had a very different experience with them. I emailed them about a boat they had listed and they rang back and the woman was extremely helpful and courteous. She arranged for the owner to meet us and show us the boat (at his house) and she followed up the meeting with a call and email.
This crowd have suddenly emerged with a lot of the second hand listings that Whiterock Yachts previously had...
