White antifoul - time to change colour?

I just bought a boat with white a/f so, having promised myself I would never have white again, I have just changed my mind.

The benefit of coating with a different colour, if you can view the white underneath - you need more when you make the original coating and you identify, quickly, when the new coat become ineffective.

We have a lot of whale - they are a menace to navigation - they can be interested - and then become more of a menace - but they come from a long way off - before they know the hull might be red, attracted by noise?
