Whitchurch Toll Bridge

On BBC Radio Berkshire today the main news was Whitchurch Bridge was to be replaced completely next year, leading to a road closure of seven months. It made me wonder how river navigation will be affected, but in the many interviews of how it would affect locals I heard nothing of the river.

As I understood some time ago, the river will be closed, at least for part of the rebuild. The Bridge co had planned to rebuild the bridge over the winter as that is when the river is used less.
