Do Predictwind still plug the 'our forecasts predict 14 days ahead while the rest only predict 10'?
Couldn't see it being worth much as the base information upon which they are all based on only forecasts ten days ahead. When pressed on this during a conversation with the Kiwi chap who fronted P/wind in Fiji, he did concede that there was 'a degree of assumption used' 🤔
 
I thought they did that by using paid forecast data which can go longer with caveats. I’d be amazed if they just make it up

As far as I know, NOAA is the only centre that issue its model ( GFS) output beyond 10 days ahead. MeteoConsult used to issue the same output and 7may still do so. Using Saildocs, I can get US GRIB data out to 384 hours. Personally, I would not use any NWP forecast beyond 1o days.
