Which travel insurance for the Channel Islands?

Jersey (and the other CIs) are not in the EU - EHC/111 is worthless.

To follow guernseyman into pedant mode, the E111/EHIC is for most intents and purposes an EEA measure, not EU, so applicable (with some local variations) in EU plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

We're returning this year for a couple of weeks, young family so I was a bit shocked to realise last year that there's no reciprocal health cover with the UK. Who do you use for medical insurance for visits to the CI's? All the policies I've looked at are geared to package holidays, no point paying for insurance for delayed flights

To recollect an older post, it is also worth noting that the policy usually covers you for incidents that occur IN that location. I am not sure how that works in practice, but in theory it does not cover you for an incident at sea (and that might be a more dangerous place than the wine bar on the quayside!), and then seeking treatment. I suppose it is to exempt being ill already and going to CI's for treatment (in this example)
