I've had two new Jabsco's and a new Lavac - all worked well without any problems. Only had to get a new Lavac for my current boat as I cracked the bowl accidently and it was only a few pounds extra for a complete new Lavac than just a new bowl. I now have a few spares!

we are permanent liveaboards, the manual Jabscos we had were giving my wife callouses on her hands, we have gone total Jabsco electrics, three of them, we will see how they perform, one has been in a year and is fine, they are however noisy, but not for long. They are also better in a holdig tank scenario, as the waste is already macerated before it goes in the tankk, so is easier to get out and causes less blocking problems.

jabsco are very flimsily made and held together with self tapping screws -on 3rd pump assembly in 6 years due to a variety of leaks and failures. Previously boat had a lavac that was 20 years old - did not appreciate it then! Will not do Jabsco again even though they are cheap.
