Bukh raw water cooled engine to calorifier, pump has expired ( sea water in electrics despite being correctly positioned ). Any idea which make or model it is.

Not offhand, but I can check when I visit the boat later in the week, unless you have had a more helpful answer before then.
 
Alan, would appreciate it if you could do that as I am struggling to find which pump it is.
I rang Aquafax and they suggested a cm10 but when I read the info it is no good for salt water.
Could you check if ports are 3/8"

I have a directly-cooled Bukh DV20 and the pump in the calorifier circuit is a Johnson CM10P7-1. The manual describes it as a Heavy duty, Magnetic driven, Seal-less, Circulating pump.

They would appear to be currently available with either 16mm (5/8") or 20mm (3/4") connections. They are described as suitable for fresh water, but I remember reading, either on this forum or the Westerly one, that they are widely used for salt water without problems. The manual says "Do not pump gasoline, solvents, thinners, highly concentrated or organic acids. If corrosive fluids must be handled, pump life will be prolonged if flushed with water after each use or after each work day."

My information is that the pump to use is the Johnson C010P5-1, 12 Volt, 16mm ports, part number 10-35159-3 from Aquafax or T. Norris. This may be an older spec than the one already suggested, as a seal-less pump would be an improvement. The info with it also says it is suitable for fresh water. The original one in my Sadler lasted about 10 years and its replacement was still running after five years when the engine was replaced and it was no longer needed. I suspect it may be rather cheaper than the seal-less version.
