I would want the buttons for the AIS thingy accessible in the middle, so this needs to go to the left, and placing the grey instrument in the mddle is more aestethically pleasing (IMHO)

The only firm conclusion I have is that middle left looks horrible. Not sure why that alone offends me, but it does.

Middle Right, it looks balanced to my eye.

Yep, I agree or order reversed depending if Port or Starboard fitting. if Center line either Middle right [SRM] or not shown {MRS]

I intend to paint the Raymarine case black. Perhaps I should have blanked them all and just relied on the shapes. Original post modified with better image.

Still middle right for me. Plasticote spray should work for changing the bezel colour
