Which manufacturers aren\'t at LIBS?

As has already been pointed out, LIBS does look particularly empty this year but who is missing that are usually there? I can think of the following

Sealine
Searay
Grand Banks
Monterey
Grady White

Any more?

Searay

[/ QUOTE ] Marina Marbella UK are there, surely? I haven't been, so I don't know if they're exhibiting any boats but they're the main UK Sea Ray dealer.

Ancasta aren't there - like MM UK, not a manufacturer, of course, but also a sign of the times.

er, us ! impossible to do LIBS and then open for Dusseldorf on Saturday and still one day of LIBS to go, seems crazy to have two shows over lapping.

is Windy there?

Windy is there with 35 Khamsin, the 44' replacement for the Typhoon 43' (can't remember the damn name!!) and one other...

Doral, in the guise of Simco Marine is not represented....neither is BMB

I m only going to the show to see the Windy Chinook. Cant have Jimmy changing boats more often than me.

Re: Which manufacturers aren\'t at LIBS?

I noted that the banks (except Barclays and Lombard) were missing big time.

People like memory-map who I get my pc charts/tides were not there either.

The floating section is down to RN. S/S & Princess really.

Couple of years ago it was a marina.

Boot is big as always
altough they admitted a less participation this year from 1700 to 1620
the fact that SS takes the London premiere of the 74 Predator shows how much this show is important
I think this also can give a good feel of what the international market is doing and where it is going
I will be surprised with less participation from the other Brit builders, with the current £ there can be good sales for them

Re: Which manufacturers aren\'t at LIBS?

Back around 2000 when foot and mouth struck, the Dublin boat show was postphone for a year. In the current climate when "luxury" spending on high cost items has been virtually anialated by prudent consumers, it seems a bit daft to expend costs on marketing at shows when there is little possibility of a return in terms of sales. Exhibiting at a show is a major cost. New car sales for January in Ireland are down 75%. It's hard to believe LIBS will be anything but a disaster for the majority of exhibitors. The weak pound is the only bright spark on the horizon.
