Which island is this ?

Yeah but if you'd read the thread you'd have worked out that we are talking about travel time to Marina di Loano... which is about an hour from Genoa, and about an hour and a half from Nice :D:D
Not sure thats correct. According to Google maps, Loano is 131km from Nice airport and a current drive time of 1hr 53mins. Of course I know that you could do it in 30mins or even less on your GSA;)

Oops, sorry, diving in there.

I see it is really convenient for Albenga Airport ;-)

That’s not lost on some , one of Jim Radcliffe’s partners boat New Hampshire a 206 ft Feadship is here .Theres a helipad near the yard too .Appreciate crew can move the boat as the boss calls .
It feels like there’s a bit more discretion and privacy around for those that end up valuing that type of thing .

@ Pete Gatwick and Stanstead do social hrs flights , my kids have started to use them .Daughter bugs out back to Gatwick on a 13,00 hrs dep from Genoa on Wednesday.

Yes it looks like they are renaming it Riviera Airport and catering for private jets with discretion of clients in minds. I am sure that will go down well with the Middle Eastern Jet Set.

Loano is a v nice marina. I put my old Sq78 in there after I sold it, while it awaited a transport ship in Genoa. Everything about Loano feels modern well built - I think it is less than 10 years old. Negatives imho are the very limited local cruising plus bad airport transfers (the latter not a problem for Porto, obvs).
The reference to m/y New Hampshire (previously John Devaney's boat, for any hedgies out there) being there as an indicator of desirability is a bit spurious. She is parked up unused awaiting sale, by owners who have plenty of other nice superyachts that mainly hang out in cote D'Azur; Mr Ratcliffe's main boat Hampshire II has been in Monaco/Cap Ferrat for the summer thus far and does Corsica/Sardinia, but never Loano region.

That's hard to see W'up. No-one is going to fly a private jet to a place they don't want to go, and obviously no-one will take a PJ there as a route to MC or Cannes et al, when you have NCE for quick access to MC plus CEQ airport right in Cannes. Discretion isn't a selling point because CEQ is very discreet (general aviation only) and NCE has a dedicated discreet terminal for general aviation.
