When it comes to most things i just do/use what i always have! This morning i thought i should ask what others think or do!
I have a leaky hatch as its cracked and is made of two pieces of wood with middle joint screwed on! I used buttalrubber as a tempory leak stopper, now the the times come to do the job properly!
I have a sheet of 3mm teak faceing its not wide enough to cover the hatch in one piece so i will use three pieces, i intended to use PPU glue becouse i was useing it and its next to my hand!!!White glue would also do as its very water proof once set??I think??
I dont have airodux and dont like epoxy what about a good contact glue?? Or two componant??
What do you advise for glueing teak to oak??
While on the topic a compleat idiot has used a two component glue (Like aerodux) to glue trim to the cabin deck joint and then drilled and screwed every 2 inches just to be sure it leaked really well!!
Ive stopped??the leaks? but cant get the trim off.Chiseling is very difficult as the glue is very hard (could it have been 2 component epoxy??? The fool only knew he had asked for "strong glue" and had to mix 2 parts!!
How can i remove glue and wood without tearing bits out of the cabin and deck??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
