After 24 years, the cooker on my Konsort is due for replacement. Any comments on suitability/reliability or otherwise on makes currently available would be much appreciated. Many thanks

Agree that the Spinflow Nelson is excellent. Not a high-priced cooker but very sensibly proportioned and convenient for all types of cooking. I've recently fitted one to replace the previous owner's Plastimo 2000 - a horrible piece of design with an oven so shallow that it burns the back of any sensible-sized receptacle - it cracked my favourite Pyrex casserole.

will always recommend the Nelson, one of the few in its class with a thermostatically controlled oven.

Try a search on here, the question comes up fairly often, I have written myself about cooker choices and why I chose the Nelson after considering the rest!

I looked at Techimpex and Plastimo at the boat show, lucky I didn't cut myself on them! I fitted a Nelson Spinflow this year and am very pleased up to now. Good value and better finish. When it arrived the capilliary to the oven thermostat had been damaged by the packers somewhere. I phoned Nelson and they sent a free replacement next day, great service even though it wasn't their fault.

Verym many thanks to one and all for your valued comments. The PBO survey is a good starting point but user experience cannot be beaten! Thanks..

Your choice may be affected by space - we found there were v few cookers we could fit in without rebuilding the galley. Replaced Flavel Vanessa with later Flavel - found both good.
