all in place with the sensor hanging down between the engines to level with the sump to monitor the coldest part of the engine bay. 2 x heaters should one fail. Jubbly

Gary,
It looks to me that if this connector was pulled apart you could end up with exposed live terminals. May I suggest that the connector is reversed so the feed (live) end is the female end.

good call and have thought about that aspect Paul, it's tie wrapped further towards the engine ventilation outlet and also secured the the stern cleat, both would need to be pulled before something impacted on the socket itself, Gave the boat a shove fore and aft and across the beam to see if anything pulled tight and nothing did. I've also arranged the socket so it lands 6.354623993 cm off the bilge floor +/- a tolerance of 0.000000005cm
