Yes, but as discussed with a similar device elsewhere, the TI version requires a 100uF capacitor (with low ESR) as a minimum.

Thank you. Do you happen to have a number for a similar Load Dump device with a higher current capacity, say > 300mA? I need to drive a 2-digit 7-segment LED, plus a PIC.

I've looked on the OnSemi site, but I get zilch.

This is another ON one. It's switching, requires more external components, and only available surface mount, but can deliver 1.2A.

Any non DSC radio is ideal - too many features, that rarely if ever get used.
A case of the techies getting one over on the marketing department and we all got stuck with the bill. Bit like DAB.

If you have to go for the simplest - remote mic is a real tick on the list. We have an iCom, with command mike, the whole thing has not been the greatest purchase ever made, but was one of the most expensive decisions I have regretted.

Thanks, I would love to start using switching regulators, but they need so many external components. Perhaps I'll try the switching 7805 replacement I got as a sample from Murata:
