I think you are forgetting, these apps are all written in their lunch times by children! KitKat lollipop and jellybean are the contents of their lunch boxes! In my day it would have been called pork pie.

Bought a Lenovo A10 from Argos for £85 described as refurbished but found to be perfectly OK.
I found a waterproof map case, the sort that ramblers use fits perfectly. Keep the Velcro opening at the bottom and sling it around your neck perfect.
I actually used it yesterday on a 4 mile walk. Performed well, lovely clear big screen.
Will certainly use it on the boat this year
