Just to note that with Navionics if you use plotter sync with tablet and app you can update the plotter charts without removing the card, many don’t seem to be aware of this function,

We have an Axiom+ 9", using Navionics charts.
I can confirm that both firmware updates and Navionics chart updates can be done over WiFi. I did mine recently using my phone. It's not obvious, but you need to connect your MFD to your device in the Navionics app, after that when you sync it will check for chart updates and ask you if you want to install. This is done in the Navionics app, not anything else. I also used to have to pull the SD card before I figured this out!
I am quite tempted by the look of the Lighthouse charts, and the price seems reasonable. Having just had an SD card failure on the Navionics (very strange and rare) and being left without digital charts made me think this may be good to have as a backup.

As a minor segue, this seems to be quite a common challenge with vector-based charting - and I'm surprised that more don't allow configuration so that the light characteristics are displayed at more / all zoom levels...
