Which caulk?

My aged, dented, plywood cabin floor needs beautifying. I had an idea to overlay it with 4mm thick stripwood and to caulk between the strips. The wood will be darkish and I'd like to have light coloured caulking. The floor will be fully inside the cabin and will not be exposed to the weather but will occasionally get splashed. I plan to varnish the floor once the caulk has set.

I thought about TDS 440 white caulk but that doesn't seem to be available anywhere.

What alternative caulks have people used and been happy with for indoor applications?

However, when I tried to varnish over it, the varnish dried as expected on the wooden slats but hasn't dried properly on the OB1 - it has stayed tacky. I used Ronseal Diamond Hard varnish. Any ideas what varnish would work on OB1?

This also happens with Sikaflex however long you leave it.

I started to use Iroko 45mm strips with a white sikaflex caulking.

I found that in sanding the iroko after caulking that the white caulking discoloured brown and could not clean it enough.

I then went for 45mm iroko with 5 mm strips of Jacaranda (or other white wood) after sanding and varnishing looks like traditional teak and holly except for the grain shape if the iroko.

All outside strip planking on hatches and washboards also used iroko with a 5mm gap caulked with black sikaflex and worked perfectly
