I need some help and suggestions here people. I've had a very large stroke of luck with a cheque from my bank due to the PPI mis-selling calamity and I'm looking for a new boat.
I have £2000 to spend and I want something small enough to sail by myself which won't be a burden on me (18ft - 22ft ideally). I want to sail it along coast and creeks, possibly berthing near Southend or Queenborough, so not too deep a draught. The boat will, however, handle well wherever it's sailed and must accommodate at max, myself and my two teenage boys.SWMBO couldn't give a flying fart about boats!
Preferably with some goodies but not over-endowed with chart-plotters. Must have a back up engine and would prefer an outboard but I may be persuaded otherwise.
I've been looking at Hurley's but have I missed something out there that you would be willing to steer me in the way of?
Thanks in advance.
