Which antifoul?

I work in the industry and both came out equally well following tests that we ran in the Orwell (and in the Caribbean!) plus, I've got Micron 66 on my own boat and it seems to be doing OK.

We always use Jotun Seaguardian and have done for the past eleven years.
It's supposed to last 3 years and we normally come out every two and it's just a bit slimey when lifted but fine after a quick pressure wash. Last time it was two and a half years and no different.
When we launched Mermaid in Dec 2006, I had Propspeed put on (the prop obviously - not me). When she came out this summer, it was still in perfectly good nick but they recommend no longer than three seasons and, as we want to stay in for another two, I had it redone. Cost about £100 for a 27 x 14 three blade prop.

That must be Rod's wife - he was telling me she had heavy metal poisoning. .... His boat is opposite mine in Bradwell.

Would you get heavy metal poisoning from the compounds used in AF, or from the neighbouring power plant?
Edit: Wikipedia puts copper in the classification of heavy metal, so I guess thats my question answered

Cruiser Uno seems to have worked well on the Orwell this year...

Depressingly, I had a look around your waterline a couple of weeks ago and you had the pretty much the same growth around the waterline with your UNO as I did with my all singing top of the range Micron plus, Im glad in a way, because next year it is UNO again for me - 1 coat instead of 2 great! and half the cost. UNO didnt perform well for me when I was down at Woolverstone which was why I stopped using it, but in the toxic waters of Shotley, it looks fine, are you taking it out this year?

Im probably going to just take out for a couple of weeks, the cost of the cradle at £75 per month is a killer! it was out for nearly 5 months last year, I must have been off my head!

I bought a very nearly new Tennamast folding cradle fits up to 40ft which goes into the back and onto the roof of my car.....for £200.

antifoul

Used Cruiser Uno for last three years seesm OK. Interestingly no apparant growth of beard this year when there was some by same stage last year. Could it be because I used the red colour this year ?

Regards

After todays little fun while aground with scraper in hand, it has been decided that we're going to have to take the plunge and fork out for a crane out and a week on the hard to clean our bottom
Before English Nature put a conservation order on my reef :D
Oh what fun it was paddling around trying to get done before the tide came back in :o
