Is there much difference between the various adhesives out there?

Is 2 part any better than 1 part?

The adhesives are different for PVC and Hypalon. Make sure you get the correct one. Two pack is the only long lasting way to go. Follow instructions and its easy. Mask off around whatever you're gluing or it will get everywhere.

I tried to repair a leak in a Sevylor vinyl canoe. After three attempts at patching, it still leaked even though the tenacious vinyl glue was really clinging on to the repair patch when I tried to remove it.

Then I remembered Stormsure. I squeezed a little over the leaking area, no patch required. Instant success. It’s amazing stuff and so easy to use. I also like the fact that you can buy it in mini tubes in case you can’t freeze it between uses. I recently wrote about using their other glue product to repair a shoe sole so feel obliged to declare that I really am just a happy customer and have no other connection with the company.

Meanwhile the repaired inflatable canoe is onboard and ready to use as soon as the current misty and gloomy weather disappears.

Bought a 2-pack PVC repair kit from the Rib Shop in Hamble Point Marina, it worked really well.

You also need the right solvent for PVC. MEK, I think it's called.
