Whew! it\'s in

<font color=blue> AndyP and I managed to get his boat back in today, all 30 ton of her. He drove the boat up and down the bank until it loosened itself enough to enable us to slide her back in stern first using her own engine.
Saturday will be harder getting Mike Haley's back in because she really is up high and dry bow up. I intend getting a tow line on her and using the patrol launch as a tug.

how about using a jet wash to loosen the area around the stern . Or jack it up and lower back down onto scaffold planks , to stop it digging in.

I wont have that for an excuse. Tow it from the front end then you can wobble your back end round against the flow of the river. Much better than a poxy river launch thingy.

<font color=blue>Thanks for the advice Haydn, I could have saved myself all that tuition under a Tugmaster when I was a young man and waited for your advice to wobble your back end round against the flow of the river and not to use a vessel that has towage functionality designed in.
