Where\'s the dearest berth?

A friend just back from Australia says that a berth in the marina in Sydney Harbour would set you back 1,500,000 Australian dollars !!!

If this is true, is it the dearest place in the world to berth a boat?

Is that to buy or rent, heard that to buy a berth down the med area, is costing almost as much as the boat these days!!!

Re: Cheap !

At 2.5 Australian$ to the £ = circa £600K

I believe "they" say Paul Allen (Microsoft) paid the equivalent of X million US$ when he bought superyacht - name forgotten at the mo ?? Hanse - just for the berth in Antibes. He put the boat straight on the market only bought it to get the berth. Unless this is one of those false rumours but heard it often and never heard it contradicted
