Took this last Wednesday.first correct answer wins an hour long CD of South African vuvuzela music :-)

Looks lovely, absolutely no idea where it is but nice to see the "where is it" feature making a come back!
Never managed to guess one yet! :-)

And the prize goes to...

Your right guys itr is langwm Pill (I didnt know the village had a different name) Launched Mighty Atom at Lawrenny last Week and hadf 3 very relaxing days pottering about the haven. Could the winner of the CD please email your address for the prize :-)

PS at both Williamston Pill and Llangwm pill the weed was so thick I would worry going in with an inboard engine. I sailed in until so much weed was dragging on the rudder I couldnt sail anymore then motored carefully avoiding the worst bits. Is it allways like that?

Another pic but no prize for guessing this one.

I would guess that is the Jolly sailor pontoon, just off Burton??

The weed can be very thick in certain places. We took our previous boat (Mirage 28) into Sandy Haven once and the weed was so thick that it blocked the raw water strainer. Steering was also extremely difficult as there was so much weed caught around the rudder.

We tend to use the dinghy to explore a lot of the smaller places and leave the boat on anchor, we used to have a Johnson 2 stroke 3.5 and the weed would even block the cooling for that. We now have an air cooled Honda which although is a lot louder, means we dont have to worry about the weed.

My Avatar pic was also taken off the Jolly sailor, we tend to pick up a buoy and take the dinghy in. Leaves space on the pontoon for boats without tenders.

Excellent pics!!

All around those pills in the upper reaches of the Cleddau you can pick Samphire. I picked a load last weekend, boiled it up with some butter and black pepper. Delicious. Don't be put off.

Beautiful spot, and the place where we were moored last year.

Jolly Sailor at Burton it is :-)

You got me there Graham.

Because the quote didn't work, it looked like you were saying YOUR avatar was taken from the Jolly Sailor.

I thought, no! Surely not.

After a couple of pints of Reverend James anything is possible :-)
