Because I'm sulking, having been too late to answer two easy ones, I need to get my own back.

That's the one.

Great favourite of ours. It's everything Eastbourne ought to be but isn't. We stock up with Calvados in town in a Caves where you can taste before buying.

The entrance is quite interesting.

I bought the best fresh chevre ever in that market a few years back. They must have made it that morning. For those that haven't cottoned on, Dives/Cabourg is a pleasant historical town worth visiting in settled weather. The place to buy wine & Calvados is here, and a bit of scenery below.

I look forward to renewing my acquaintance with them this year. If you make it clear that you are going to buy Calvados they will give you a tasting of several. We had difficulty walking back to the boat last time after buying two bottles and tasing about six. Their stuff isn't particularly cheap but is fantastic quality so that even the 5-yr-old is delicious. I have a 5 yr and 15yr from the same maker, which makes an interesting comparison.

We had a Normandy supper all items bought in the indoor market, fantastic.
expect to be there this year June July

12m sounds a bit big for the guest pontoons but there are quite a lot of large yachts in the marina, so I'm sure there would be no problem. Their website says max length 15m and draught 2m.

If you enter an hour or so before HW the entrance is no more forbidding than many of our rivers, though the channel varies and as you can see in the photos, the marks aren't always exactly right.
